Restaurant Tuebingen
helge 11th November 2009
I do not know many restaurants in Tubingen. Our visit to the wine press was rather random. "We can go inside some," we thought, without ulterior motives. Thus, this report is nothing more than a snapshot.
From the outside, the building is a timber-framed house, almost completely gutted from the inside reveals a large hall, was drafted into the wood decorated with a floor like a bridge. The furniture is sturdy, has a total of all fairly new. A charming architecture makes but still not a good restaurant.
As for the wine at a good restaurant in Tübingen makes: the menu is varied, with every dish there is a specific wine recommendation. The service was attentive and seemingly heart-friendly and open. The card can also be vegetarian heart beat faster and can be found on the dessert menu over ice. The kitchen provides insights and you can see and taste that even the chefs are fun at work. Positive is that the menu changes weekly and is heavily dependent on seasonal aspects. Actually, a mean feat for a restaurant where even cooked properly.
But they are at least in some regions in Germany, apparently in danger of extinction. At least that applies to restaurants that offer their services at reasonable prices. Also applies to the wine press in Tübingen.
